Course in English; Regulary on monday or wednesday.
Performance is today a fertile ground for exploration of time, especially if we consider the contemporary acceleration of life and changed experience of time. In this seminar various philosophical and theoretical reflections on time will be analyzed together with dramaturgical strategies and approaches to time in contemporary performance. The students will get the insight into the ways how different artistic explorations of time are addressing the attention and perception of the audience. Different modalities of time in the performance will be analyzed (like slowness, stillness, repetition, acceleration, potentiality) and reflected in the relation to the ways how contemporary performance is addressing broader cultural and political issues.
