dark pool. high potentials

Dark Pool. High Potentials is a duet based on reflections upon gamification, a method to apply game structures in non-game contexts. Game as a secure frame with clear rules, a free space, a defined and stable (miniature) world in contrast to a constantly changing reality is the starting point of the performance. The going with, against and through of choreography, stage set, sound and light creates fields of tensions which during the performance come close, drift away, deform and melt into each other.

The projekt is supported by Hessianen Theaterakademie (HTA), Kulturamt der Stadt Gießen, Kulturamt Frankfurt am Main als well as the institute for Applied Theatre Studies Justus-Liebig University Gießen.

Rehearsals took place at Frankfurt LAB, Künstlerhaus Mousonturm, Z. Zentrum für Proben und Forschung Frankfurt as well as in ttp-WuK Vienna.
